Starting point of AIK Energy
The year 2013 marked the beginning of AIK Energy Ltd.’s operations in Central and Eastern Europe when it began selling petroleum products, crude oil, and condensate. The firm gradually expanded its presence on European gas and energy markets, first being established in the United Kingdom, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, The Czech Republic, Italy Greece
The rapid expansion of the Group is largely due to our experienced team’s strong business plan, which was effectively devised and implemented.
AIK Energy Group has extended their profitable natural gas and power resources and is diversifying their trading platform and portfolio by establishing local operations in several European countries: Germany, Italy, Slovakia, Serbia, Greece, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, Kosovo (North Macedonia), Montenegro (formerly Yugoslavia), Slovenia (formerly Yugoslavia), Bosnia and Turkey.

The Romanian Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) claims that AIK Energy, through its affiliates, had a 35% market share in imported natural gas in Romania in 2019.
Finally, in 2020, the volumes exchanged across Europe were almost 21 million MWh, demonstrating once again AIK Energy’s strategy and performance.

Trading Activity
Romanian wholesale gas market
In 2018, the firm concentrated on gas trading, and it was able to sell 6.2 million megawatt-hours (MWh) from October 2018 through June 2019 for a total of EUR 120 million in revenue, illustrating AIK Energy Ltd‘s success.
The second most important gas supplier in Romania in Q1/2019, with a market share of 17.2%. Furthermore, according to ANRE, AIK Energy was the country’s biggest natural gas importer during the first quarter of 2019.
